According to Matt Cutts, Google’s head of search spam, Panda will no longer be a manual monthly update. Panda is a project Google runs to find duplicate content across the web and remove it from their search results. It will now become a constant part of Google’s real-time algorithm. This means that Panda’s impact on your website may be harder to detect.

Cutts explains, “Rather than having some huge change that happens on a given day, you’re more likely in the future to see Panda deployed gradually as we’re rebuilding the index, so you’re less likely to see these large scale sorts of changes.” First released in February 2011, Panda is Google’s algorithm aimed at surfacing high-quality sites higher in search results.
